About me

So you’ve stumbled onto my about page! Wanted to know a bit more about the girl behind the blog eh?

Well I have to confess my names not really Artemis :O :O :O shocking I know (I really should change it to that, such a cool name). Here you can read about my likes and dislikes and just get to know me better 🙂

I’m Natalie. A Dorset born and bred girl aged just 25 who loves nothing more than tea, gaming, animals and my daughter.

Currently aside from this blog I am studying at college. I have just been accepted onto a degree starting this September to study a BSc Hons in Veterinary Nursing – something I have only dreamed of before and I am so excited to start the next chapter of my life career wise.

I have been a lover of gaming all my life starting from when I used to watch my brother and his friends play on the N64 and SNES and my sister play Sims (yeah that’s right, the original sims!). I could spend hours watching them play – Goldeneye, 1080, Pilot wings, Super mario, Mariokart, Mario party, Zelda ocarina of time to name but a few games.

My first console was a Nintendo DS handheld with Nintendogs, I spent literal hours on it training my dogs, annoying my parents saying ‘Sit’ about 50 times and buying them all kinds of accessories. My brother then gave me his PS2 with Grand Theft Auto Vice City – It was great game to play around on but shooting games have never been my strong point! The next console was at Christmas time when my parents finally gave in and bought me a Nintendo Gamecube!

Throughout the years I’ve had various consoles and so many games but my heart lies with Nintendo <3 Currently I own a Nintendo DS XL, Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Snes Mini and my latest purchase a Nintendo Switch! I hope to expand on this collection as the blog goes on 😀

Gaming for me is just a perfect way to relax and chill with family and friends. My brother, sister and I have spent countless hours battling it out on Mario party or trying to complete the lost levels on Mario all stars! I enjoy the feeling you get by just switching on the console and escaping the real world for a few hours!

Aside from gaming I have a few other hobbies that take up the rest of my spare time 🙂 horse riding being the main one – I have ridden for many years now and although I don’t own my own horse anymore I still try to ride when I can or help out with a friend and his Shire horse company. Horses for me are just a given, they are my other escape from mundane life and have given me so much joy in my life. I used to pole dance but had to give it up due to lack of time, would love to give silks and hoops a go one day 🙂

Other joys in life include tea, reading, music, days out to new places, shopping obviously and sleeping 😛 I would consider myself a fairly alternative girl with tattoo’s and piercings and a love of all odd things.

There is one other big element to my life and that’s my daughter. She’s 2 years old and honestly the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I never imagined life as a single parent but that’s the thing with life…it’s unpredictable and you just have to deal with the cards you are given. Rosie is a joy to be around and lights up every room she enters. She’s a mini gamer in the making too, if I’m playing a game, Rosie has to have a controller!

I started this blog to share what I love with everyone else. The inspiration came when I discovered Twitch, I was watching a friend stream and started having a look around the site. I came across a Mariokart stream and the first streamer that appeared was Gamerfreak0x! I entered the stream and came across the most engaging and wonderful stream. This was back in November 2017. Since then the community has grown and grown and I now have a wonderful set of friends who I chat with every day. What I loved was the passion these group of people have for gaming and life. It inspired me to start this blog and share my passion with the rest of the world <3 I love to learn and wanted to learn to build a computer, learn more about the gaming world and about other streamers and their reasons behind gaming/streaming and more. This blog is hopefully going to be the start of something amazing 🙂
